At Greenwood School, we make education sticky. Our teachers engage the whole student so that lessons stay with children far beyond “the test.” We do this by integrating an understanding of the developing brain and body with academics. You’ll see this emphasis in the classroom – when and how subjects are taught – as well as on the playground – what movement and games are best for the progressing ages and stages of childhood.
We are a small school where the teachers get to know and understand their students – who they are, how they think, what motivates them to learn. This commitment helps the students build relationships, investigate with their senses and build kindness.
