Events/Tickets are popular.
We live in one of the most robust areas for cultural experiences. From Rancho Nicasio to the Marin Civic Center to the Warfield, acts from the world over come to our neighborhood to perform. Pick your favorite place and ask for 2 tickets to a show. Or if you have gone to see a performance that you particularly like, or know of an act coming to town, purchase two tickets and donate the seats. What a wonderful way to share culture within our community.

Community events. Think about organizing an event at your house like the poker tournament or themed dinner.
Dinner out. We’ve had requests for nice dinners out, but anywhere out is great.
We like wine. Go figure. We also like other spirits, so think sake, tequila, rum or whatever moves you.
And of course, travel. We are all escapists. True, we live in paradise, but we like to see the rest of the world – be it in California or Calcutta. If you have a house or a lean-to or a favorite destination, someone would love to visit it. The best things are trips that you personally have taken, so you can help fill in the blanks with “local knowledge” to make a spectacular offering...
Things like, "Take this trail to the best sunset views” or “Visit this place before 10am when the crowds start and don’t forget an Italian soda at Victor’s for the late afternoon pick-me-up.” Ask your friends who are lucky enough to have second homes, or whose parents have them, if they would consider sharing a few days for the benefit of our children. We will be neat and respectful, we promise …
Lessons. We are a curious bunch. And we have curious children. Think about the professionals who teach and ask them for a donation, but also look toward yourself. What do you know how to do that you could teach others? Celebrate your own mojo! Share it with others.
