Movement is an undercurrent of the curriculum. During physical education periods, each grade engages in games that are integrated with the lesson block being studied. For instance, in the lower grades, javelin throwing coincides with lessons about Greek mythology, and by middle school, these cooperative activities become more competitive sports.

Greenwood School's multi-cultural dance program explores many dance genres from Hawaiian Hula to rhythmic African dance to traditional folk circle dancing. This consistent movement lays the foundation for healthy brain development as well as body awareness and acceptance.

Greenwood's athletics program is enhanced by our Afterschool Enrichment activities, including Circus Arts.
