Greenwood School is a K-8 educational community located in the heart of Mill Valley, just north of San Francisco. Since 1991, the parents of Greenwood School have been dedicated to creating the best possible education for their children. The active parent body works closely with a faculty of very talented and experienced teachers to create a Waldorf-inspired education. Our class teachers journey through the grades with their students. In addition to the class teacher, there are specialty teachers for Spanish, music, handwork, art, games, woodworking and eurythmy. A dedicated environmental studies program fosters reverence, wonder and stewardship of the natural world, while incorporating an age-appropriate science curriculum.

Graduates from Greenwood School have attended a variety of Bay Area high schools including Marin Academy, San Francisco International, San Francisco Waldorf High School, Urban High School, San Domenico High School, Stuart Hall, Marin School, Tamalpais High School, Redwood High School, Branson High School and San Rafael High School. Colleges acceptances of Greenwood School alumni include UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, Stanford, Oberlin, Haverford, MIT,  NYU,  Rhode Island School of Design, University of Vermont, University of Washington.

For the 2007-08 school year, we are accepting applications for Grades 4, 5 and 6. Each class has a maximum of 24 students.
